TEIN has released their FLEX Z coilovers for the 2018+ Tesla Model 3 & 2021+ Tesla Model Y.
TEIN FLEX Z coilovers inherit all the features and quality of their STREET FLEX series but the adoption of the new platform allows its price to be set at a low range.
FLEX Z, of course, maintains the long-favored "Made in Yokohama" quality. Considering the use of larger tires/wheels and the lowered ride height, FLEX Z uses a twin-tube system, in pursuit of maintained ride comfort on the street.
Also, low gas pressure keeps damper friction low. A smooth stroke movement makes it possible to follow rough and bumpy road surfaces with ease, offering a supple ride at low speed and a stable ride at high speed.
A full-length ride height adjustment system, used for FLEX Z, enables adjustment of ride height by adjusting the case length, without changing the damper stroke length and/or spring pre-load.
Custom fit spanner wrenches are included with the kit for fast and easy ride height tuning.
FLEX Z has 16-way damping force adjustment (compression and rebound tuning together) feature with the use of a needle valve.
By turning one adjustment knob, damping force (stiffness) is adjusted in a linear fashion to change the ride and handling of the car to suit the driver's needs/preferences.
